On July 3rd, Hollie Stevens passed away. I only had the chance to meet her a couple of times, but she stayed in touch. Despite the fact that I didn’t know her incredibly well and it had been clear that she was on her deathbed, I was very distraught when she did pass away. This is someone I knew, a vibrant person younger than myself who was killed by a terribly aggressive form of cancer.
I’ve been reading about spirit photography for years. Despite the readings and studies into occult schools of thought I remain unsure of my exact thoughts regarding the “spirit.” Still, I locked myself in a darkened room with a broken camera and make myself open to the idea. I took 9 instant photographs, each with various results. Before taking this last image, I said “Thanks, Hollie.” This was the result.
I didn’t post this online because I wasn’t sure if it would look bad. But I realized that I’m pretty sure Hollie would have liked the idea.
